PURPOSE: To stably maintain high optical coupling degree in structure and method for attaching a fiber-lens assembly.
CONSTITUTION: The fiber-lens assembly 10, a 2nd hollow body 30 whose one end face is formed on an orthogonal end face 32 orthogonally crossed with an axial center and whose other end face is formed on an inclined end face 23 inclined at a desired angle to the axial center, and a 1st hollow body 20 whose one end face is formed on an orthogonal end face 22 orthogonally crossed with the axial center and whose other end face is formed on the inclined end face 23 inclined at the desired angle to the axial center are provided. The orthogonal end face 22 side of the 1st hollow body 20 is fixed at a specified position on the flat surface 41 of a mount part 40, and the fiber-lens assembly 10 is inserted and fixed to the axial center hole 31 of the 2nd hollow body 30, then the inclined end face 33 of the 2nd hollow body 30 is welded by a laser and fixed in a state where it is brought into tight contact with the inclined end face 23 of the 1st hollow body 20.
