Abstract:
To obtain carbon nanofibers in which a polymer is graft polymerized on the surfaces of the carbon nanofibers in the length direction, a resin composition and a coating.
The modified carbon nanofibers are obtained by radically decomposing a polymer containing an azo group and/or a peroxy group and bonding the radically decomposed polymer to the surface of the graphene sheet of the carbon nanofibers. The resin composition is obtained by dispersing the modified carbon nanofibers into a resin. The coating is obtained by dispersing the modified carbon nanofibers into a solvent having ≤1 difference between the SP value of the polymer bonded to the carbon nanofibers and the SP value of the solvent.
