Abstract:
To provide a reverse input cutoff clutch which can shorten an axial dimension, and can suppress the number of part items.SOLUTION: A reverse input cutoff clutch 1 is constituted of: an input member 2; an output member 3 arranged coaxially with the input member 2; a pressed member 4 having a pressed face 15; a pair of engagement pieces 5a, 5b; an energization spring 6 for energizing a pair of the engagement pieces 5a, 5b to a direction in which they separate from each other; and a guide mechanism 7 for regulating the relative movement of a pair of the engagement pieces 5a, 5b. When rotation torque is inputted to the input member 2, a pair of the engagement pieces 5a, 5b move to a direction in which they approximate each other, and transmit the rotation torque to the output member 3 on the basis of engagement with the input member 2, and when the rotation torque is reversely inputted to the output member 3, a pair of the engagement pieces move to a direction in which they separate from each other on the basis of engagement with the output member 3, and prevent the relative rotation of the output member 3 and the pressed member 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
