Abstract:
To facilitate execution of rice polishing operations by using a general-purpose card.SOLUTION: A rice polishing installation receives introduction of unpolished rice, selects an arbitrary degree of polishing with a polishing degree selection switch (12), and executes rice polishing operations, and comprises: a fee slot (13) for receiving cash; a card reader (100) that reads card information; and a control unit (30) that stores the card information. The card information includes points for executing the rice polishing operations. The rice polishing operations can be executed for the amount of money paid or the time corresponding to the points. In a case of the rice polishing operations with the input of cash, after the lapse of the operations time corresponding to the amount of input money, the rice polishing operations are stopped. In a case of the rice polishing operations with the points of a card, an extension time is provided for continuing the rice polishing operations for a predetermined time to input additional cash or read a new card.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19
