Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent road surface mark locators, inspecting devices and analyzing devices.SOLUTION: Provided are a device, a system and a method which are for locating, inspecting and arranging marks on a road, and analyzing them at a remote position. The device may include a GPS-basis mechanical and visual locator for sampling discrete geographical positions of existing road surface marks which are clear on the road. A computer may determine a continuous and flat geographical position function which is adapted to sampled geographical position data. And, markers may respond to the GPS-basis locator and the geographical position function for copying automatically the existing road surface marks on the road. The road surface marks may be inspected while being located, and the collected data may be compressed through being filtered so that data can be analyzed at the remote position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
