To provide a rolling member for a fuel cell having high corrosion resistance and hydrogen resistance fatigue strength; to provide a rolling bearing for a fuel cell having high hydrogen resistance fatigue strength; and to provide a method for producing the same.
An outer ring 11, an inner ring 12 and a ball 13 as rolling members for a fuel cell are each composed of a steel having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.2 to 1.2% carbon, 0.15 to 1.0% silicon, 0.3 to 1.5% manganese, 6.0 to 12.0% chromium and at least either vanadium or molybdenum of 1.0 to 6.0% in total, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and in which the ratio of the content of carbon to the total content of vanadium and molybdenum is 0.16 to 0.24. Also, at least either vanadium carbide or molybdenum carbide with a diameter of ≤10 nm is precipitated in the steel.
