Abstract:
Rolling mill comprises a roll stand (4) consisting of opposite-lying portal frames (7, 8) fixed to a plate (6) with an upper cassette (9) for an upper rolling unit (11) and a lower cassette for a lower rolling unit (12). Both frames are tensioned and fixed to each other using several pulling elements (13) arranged above or next to each other. Preferred Features: Both portal frames are connected to each other using a cross frame (14). Rollers each consist of a lower drum unit (17b) with conical rolls (18).
