Abstract:
To provide a rotational inertia device capable of suppressing acceleration of a building occurring in an earthquake, and suppressing displacement.SOLUTION: The present invention pertains to a rotational inertial device 1 that extends a period of a seismic isolation object in an earthquake and suppresses displacement. The rotational inertia device comprises: a housing 2 separated from the seismic isolation object and fixed to a ground side; a ball screw mechanism 10 that is provided in the housing and converts linear motion into rotary motion, and one end of which is connected to the seismic isolation object; a rotary wheel 20 rotatably supported in the housing; and a one-way clutch 25 that transmits the rotation of the ball screw mechanism in a predetermined rotation direction to the rotary wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
