Abstract:
To realize a rotary machine capable of stably supporting a rotator while suppressing a power consumption.SOLUTION: A rotary machine 100 has a first container 1 whose inside is kept in an airtight state, a second container 2 accommodated in the first container 1 and whose inside is kept in the airtight state, a rotator 3 accommodated in the second container 2 and including a superconductor, shafts 4 and 7 attached to the rotator 3 and having one ends supported by an outside of the first container 1 and the other ends supported by an inside of the second container 2, a superconductive magnetic bearing 120 supporting the other ends of the shafts 4 and 7 in a non-contact manner, and a contact supporting member 14 supporting the other ends of the shafts 4 and 7 in a contact manner, and is configured to be switchable from a state in which the other ends of the shafts 4 and 7 are supported by the contact supporting member 14 in a contact manner to a state in which the other ends of the shafts 4 and 7 are supported by the superconductive magnetic bearing 120 in a non-contact manner, in a state in which the first container 1 and the second container 2 are sealed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
