Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper capable of easily adjusting torque without limitation of the operation range of the rotary damper while enabling reduction in its width dimension, and a door brake including the rotary damper.SOLUTION: A rotary damper 1 comprises an adjustment torque generation mechanism row 4 and a speed dependent torque generation mechanism row 5 that are juxtaposed in a housing composed of a case 2 and a cap 3. The adjustment torque generation mechanism row 4 includes a first cap bush 41, a cap-side sealing member 42, a shaft 43, a first adjusting rotor 44, a cover ring 45, a second adjusting rotor 46, an adjuster 47 and a case-side seal member 48 that are coaxially housed in an adjustment mechanism row accommodation holder 2b. The speed dependent torque generation mechanism row 5 includes a second cap bush 51, a first speed dependent rotor 52, a second speed dependent rotor 53, an elastic member 54, a holder 55, a cover ring 56 and a case bush 57 that are coaxially housed in a speed dependent mechanism row accommodation holder 2d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
