PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation-linear motion converting device for achieving relatively high quietness.SOLUTION: A rotation-linear motion converting device 20 includes a shaft 7 having a shank 30 whose outer peripheral face is cylindrically shaped, a housing 40 externally fitted to the shaft 7 across a gap, and a plurality of rollers 50 fixed at its base end to the housing 40 and equally spaced from the shaft 7 in the peripheral direction. The plurality of rollers 50 are supported on the housing 40 rotatably at the same inclination angle α to the axis of the shaft 7 in the torsional direction, and also put in slide contact with the shank 30 of the shaft 7 while applying a preload thereto to enable the transmission of traction driving force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
