Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for heavy duty tires capable of giving a rubber crosslinked product high in tensile strength and tensile stress and excellent in abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for heavy duty tires is provided which contains a terminal modifying group-containing cyclic olefin ring-opened polymer, silica, and carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 90-150 m/g as measured by a BET method. The content of the carbon black is 20-60 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component contained in the rubber composition for heavy duty tires.SELECTED DRAWING: None
