Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a sidewall capable of improving low fuel consumption property, fracture strength, flex crack resistance, steering stability and processability in a good balance and to provide a pneumatic tire having a sidewall prepared using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition for a sidewall which comprises a rubber component and silica, where the content of a conjugated diene-based polymer which has a monomer unit based on a conjugated diene, a monomer unit having a substituted silyl group and a monomer unit having a substituted amino group or a nitrogen-containing hetero ring group and in which at least one terminal of a copolymer is modified with the following compound (G) is 5 mass% or more in 100 mass% of the rubber component, the content of the silica is 5 to 150 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. Compound (G): at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound having an amino group which may have a substituent and a carbonyl group and a compound having an amino group each of which may have a substituent and a thiocarbonyl group .
