Abstract:
To provide a rubber composition which is excellent in wet grip property and abrasion resistance when being used in a tread part of a tire, and can improve workability by reducing the viscosity.SOLUTION: A rubber composition contains at least an aliphatic-aromatic-dicyclopentadiene copolymerized petroleum resin in a diene rubber, in which the aliphatic-aromatic-dicyclopentadiene copolymerized petroleum resin satisfies all of the following characteristics (1) to (3): (1) a softening point according to JIS K-2531(1960) (ring and ball method) of 75-110°C; (2) a weight average molecular weight/number average molecular weight measured by gel permeation chromatography according to JIS K-0124(1994) using standard polystyrene as a standard substance of 2.3-3.0; (3) (i) an aliphatic hydrogen ratio of 79-85%, (ii) a dicyclopentadiene double-bondable hydrogen ratio of 9-7%, and (iii) an aromatic hydrogen ratio of 12-8%, in which the hydrogen ratios are measured by proton NMR.SELECTED DRAWING: None
