Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent for forming a photo-aligning liquid crystal alignment layer, capable of materializing a liquid crystal display device which has a high transmittance while maintaining liquid crystal aligning property, a voltage holding ratio and the like and less likely induces flickering even in long-term driving.SOLUTION: A photo-aligning liquid crystal aligning agent is provided, comprising: [A] a polyamic acid or its derivative obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with diamine, in which at least one of the tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and the diamine is a compound having a photoreactive structure; and [B] a polyamic acid or its derivative obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride having no photoreactive structure with diamine having no photoreactive structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
