Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling controller for a vehicle which can suppress or prevent divergence between deceleration requested by a driver and deceleration during inertial traveling.SOLUTION: There is provided the traveling controller for a vehicle with which a vehicle can travel while switching a state of a vehicle from a state in which a vehicle travels by outputting power from a power source to a driving wheel to a state in which a vehicle travels by inertia using a traveling inertia force of the vehicle without outputting power from the power source to the driving wheel. The traveling controller includes: means (step S5) for blocking power transmission between the power source and the driving wheel using an engagement mechanism when the vehicle travels by inertia using the traveling inertia force from a state in which the vehicle travels in an accelerated manner; and means (step S6) which joins the power source and the driving wheel by the engagement mechanism so that power can be transmitted when the vehicle travels by inertia using the traveling inertia force of the vehicle from a state in which the vehicle travels at a constant vehicle speed or travels in a decelerated manner.
