Abstract:
To suppress deviation of an optical element when the optical element receives force from a sheet at the time of thermal expansion.SOLUTION: A scanning optical device 1 includes: a light source (semiconductor laser 10); a polygon mirror 51; a scanning optical system; an optical box 2; and a sheet 3. The polygon mirror 51 deflects beams from the light source. The scanning optical system forms an image of light from the polygon mirror 51 on an image surface. The scanning optical system has a first optical element (first reflection mirror 81Y). The optical box 2 houses the light source, the polygon mirror 51, and the scanning optical system. The optical box 2 has a first projection R1. The first projection R1 surrounds the first optical element, and a tip end face R101 is positioned outside the first optical element. The sheet 3 is a flexible one for covering the first optical element. The sheet 3 is adhered to a tip end face R101 of the first projection R1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
