Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glaucoma model that can accurately reproduce the pathological condition of glaucoma.SOLUTION: An experimental apparatus (1) is provided that comprises: A) a pressurized container (2); B) a culture vessel (3) housing retinal tissue (5) and a culture solution (4) therein; C) a gas blender (6) for blending two pressurized gases provided with an inert gas flow control valve (9) and an oxygen gas flow control valve (10); D) a gas injection pipe (12); E) a pressure control valve (14); F) a dissolved oxygen concentration sensor (16); G) a dissolved oxygen concentration input unit (18) which receives the measured value of the dissolved oxygen concentration sensor and which sets the dissolved oxygen concentration to any value. The experimental apparatus (1) further comprises a control device (11) controlling the inert gas flow control valve and/or the oxygen gas flow control valve such that the measured value of the dissolved oxygen concentration sensor matches the value set by the dissolved oxygen concentration input unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
