Abstract:
The scroll machine consists of fixed (2) and mobile (4) discs with interacting spiral surfaces (3, 5), a rotary drive (11, 16, 22, 23) for the mobile disc, and a friction system with interacting shoes and stops (25, 26). On the opposite side to the moving disc the fixed disc is connected to a fixed central shaft (7) attached to a frame (1) and having a central feed channel (8). The central shaft is surrounded by a seal bellows (12) which is connected at one end to the frame (1) and at the other to a coupling flange (10). The flange is joined to the periphery of the mobile disc outside its spiral surface to form a housing enclosing the fixed disc, and the space between the bellows and central shaft forms a suction channel.
