Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal and a roller bearing device including the seal, capable of effectively restricting immersion of water into an annular space even if the annular space between an inner ring and an outer ring shows a negative pressure.SOLUTION: A seal 20 comprises a pair of outer seal members 21 installed at both axial ends of an annular space 19 formed among a pair of inner rings 11, 12 and outer rings 13 to 15 while their axial ends being abutted to each other, and an inner seal member 22 installed at annular grooves 18 formed at outer circumferences of the ends at both inner rings 11, 12 in such a way that the inner seal member can be integrally rotated with the inner rings 11. The inner seal member 22 has a slide contact lip part 28 that slidably contacts with a second circumferential surface 18b of the annular groove 18. A specific gravity of the slide contact lip part 28 is set to such a value as one in which the lip is moved away toward an outer radial direction by a centrifugal force accompanied by rotation of the inner seal member 22 against the second circumferential surface 18b of the annular groove 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
