Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member for a pit mounting table that readily and securely seals a gap between a groove part formed on a pit mounting table mounted on a buried valve base and a pipe joint inserted into the groove part.SOLUTION: A seal member for a pit mounting table comprises a plate-form first member 2 fitted on a surface of a groove part formed on a pit mounting table mounted on a base body of a buried valve base, and a plate-form second member 3 fitted on a surface of the first member 2. A first opening 4 for inserting a pipe joint is formed on the first member 2, while a second opening 5 for inserting the pipe joint is formed on the second member 3. A diameter of the first opening 4 is larger than a diameter of the second opening 5, and the diameter of the second opening 5 equals an outer diameter of the pipe joint. The second opening 5 has a sleeve 6 formed facing outward, for inserting the pipe joint.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
