Abstract:
To provide a secondary battery that can more appropriately suppress deposition of metallic lithium.SOLUTION: A secondary battery disclosed here includes a flat-shaped wound electrode body 40. Such a wound electrode body 40 has a pair of curved portions 40r and a flat portion 40f. A positive electrode starting end portion 10s inside the wound electrode body 40 includes a first region 17 that extends along the flat portion 40f. On the other hand, a negative electrode starting end portion 20s inside the wound electrode body 40 includes a second region 27 that extends along the flat portion 40f, a folded portion 28 that is folded along a first curved portion 40r1, and a third region 29 that extends from the folded portion 28 to the flat portion 40f. In addition, in the wound electrode body 40, an electrode starting end laminated portion 48 is formed in a part of the flat portion 40f, in which the first region 17, the second region 27 and the third region 29 overlap with each other, and a positive electrode terminal end portion 10e and a negative electrode terminal end portion 20e are arranged in the first curved portion 40r1. Such a structure can appropriately prevent each of local pressurization failure and non-uniformity of heat generation distribution, and can suppress the deposition of metallic lithium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
