Abstract:
This automatic driving device 1, which determines driving behaviour for a vehicle on the basis of a potential field, comprises: a first calculation unit 144 which, at specified intervals, sequentially determines a basic travel potential, which indicates the degree of recommendation of a travel position to which the vehicle is to potentially travel; a second calculation unit 145 which determines, as an overt risk represented by an object in the surroundings of the vehicle, a maximum collision risk of the vehicle with the object; and a driving behaviour determination unit 148 which determines the driving behaviour by determining values that minimise a cost function, said cost function having the driving behaviour of the vehicle as a parameter and including a cumulative value for the basic travel potentials sequentially determined by the first calculation unit 144 and the maximum collision risk obtained by the second calculation unit 145.
