Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self help appliance for meal, which is used by a disabled person whose finger function is insufficient, and a person who desires to exchange his/her dominant hand.SOLUTION: A self help appliance 1 for meal is configured so that: a pair of chopstick bodies 1a, 1b comprise a grip respectively; a male guide plate 3b is provided on one grip inside side face, and a female guide plate 3a is provided on the other grip inside side face, in a protruding state, respectively; the male guide plate is pivotally attached 4 to the female guide plate in a manner of freely advancing and retreating; and a spring for energizing tips of the chopsticks to expansion directions always, is disposed in the female guide plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
