Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately manufacture a large diameter square steel tube from a round steel tube.
CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of the large diameter square steel tube formed in a square by a forming roll 6 after a round steel tube 1 is heated extensively by induction heating 5, a short tube 3 of round steel tube having the same diameter as this round steel tube 1 is connected with one tip part of the round steel tube 1 in advance, then, a forming of the large diameter square steel tube is started from the short tube 3 of connected round steel tube.
