Abstract:
To provide a semiconductor device capable of restraining characteristic fluctuation of a transistor, while increasing the holding capacity, and to provide a display device using the semiconductor device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 10 includes a transistor having a substrate 11, and having a semiconductor film 16, a gate insulation film 17 and a first gate electrode 18 on the substrate 11, in this order, and having a second gate electrode 12 facing the first gate electrode 18 while sandwiching the semiconductor film 16, a holding capacitor having a lower electrode 14 and an upper electrode 16C facing the lower electrode and containing the same material as the composition material of the semiconductor film on the substrate in this order, a first insulation layer 13 provided between the second gate electrode and the semiconductor film, and a second insulation layer 15 provided between the lower electrode and the upper electrode, and having a thickness smaller than that of the first insulation layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
