Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when an excess current through a power semiconductor device of high capacity is detected by using inductance, it is different to control a saturation current at high speed because larger current is needed to drive a control voltage of the power semiconductor device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor driving device which drives a semiconductor device having first and second main terminals and a control terminal controlling a principal current through the first and second main terminals comprises a drive circuit which supplies a driving signal of the semiconductor device to the control terminal, an integration circuit which outputs an integral value of an electromotive voltage generated at an inductor connected in series with the second main terminal or a value proportional to the integral value, and a shunt circuit which shunts a current responding to difference between the output of the integration circuit and a preset value when the output exceeding the preset value, from a first junction of the shunt circuit and the control terminal to a second junction of the shunt circuit and the inductor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
