PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus of a digital signal, in which influence of distortion in a transmission line is compensated on the transmission side.SOLUTION: The transmission apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a mapping unit 12 for mapping a digital signal to be transmitted (unmodulated signal to which predetermined encoding is applied) on an ideal signal point in each predetermined modulation method; a distortion compensation unit 5; and an orthogonal modulation unit 13 for applying orthogonal modulation. The distortion compensation unit 5 includes: a distortion compensation section 51 for an output multiplexer (OMUX) filter; a distortion compensation section 52 for a traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA); and a distortion compensation section 53 for an input multiplexer (IMUX) filter. The distortion compensation sections 51, 52, 53 have input/output characteristics respectively approximated to input/output characteristics of a plurality of distortion compensation target apparatuses in a real satellite and have cascade connection relation respectively in the reverse order of connection order of the plurality of distortion compensation target apparatuses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
