Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating rare earth elements capable of separating, from rare earth elements, radioactive substances included within a raw ingredient based on a simple method.SOLUTION: In a method for mutually separating, from a source liquid including multiple types of rare earth elements and a radioactive substance(s) based on the solvent extraction method, the rare earth elements, the radioactive substance(s) is separated and removed from the rare earth elements by using an organic solvent including an acidic phosphoric acid ester-based, carboxylic acid-based, or diglycolamic acid-based extracting agent in accompaniment of the organic solvent concomitantly with the separation of the multiple types of rare earth elements.
