Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator joint method for an electric device in which a separator for pinching an electrode can be sufficiently joined even when the separator has a heat-resistant material which is difficult to be joined.SOLUTION: A separator joint method for an electric device (bagged electrode) is a method of joining a separator for pinching an electrode (a positive electrode 20 or a negative electrode) by using a separator (ceramic separator) containing a sheet-shaped fusion material (polypropylene layer) and a heat-resistant material (ceramic layer) which is laminated on the fusion material and has a higher melting temperature than the fusion material. The separator joint method has a processing step and a joining step. The processing step refracts or bends the end portions of the separator which confront each other through the electrode. The joining step joins the fusion material of the thick layer portions of the confronting end portions.
