Abstract:
To favorably feed a workpiece along a side end part of the workpiece even in the case where the workpiece has a three-dimensional shape, a thickness change and the like.SOLUTION: A sewing machine 10 includes: a first feed mechanism 30 for feeding a workpiece H by a wheel 31 arranged in a state where a rotary shaft is obliquely inclined with respect to the horizontal direction, next to a needle location T; a second feed mechanism 50 arranged on the upstream side in the feed direction with respect to the first feed mechanism, and for feeding the workpiece by bringing a rotating spherical feeding body 51 into contact from above; and a control device 90 for controlling a driving source 33 of the first feed mechanism and a driving source 53 of the second feed mechanism. The sewing machine also includes a height detection part 40 for detecting the upper surface height of the workpiece. The second feed mechanism includes a driving source 60 for lifting/lowering for lifting/lowering the feeding body. The control device controls the driving source for lifting/lowering so that the height of the feeding body of the second feed mechanism follows the upper surface height of the workpiece detected by the height detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 24
