Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need for setting sheet size when a sheet of irregular size is used by detecting sheet size accurately.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device includes a first cursor which regulates position of a sheet, a first coil substrate on which a coil pattern is printed, a first conductive plate which faces the first coil substrate in non-contact manner, and a first capacitor that is connected to the first coil substrate, and includes a sensor part which makes the first coil substrate generate a magnetic field for outputting a first output value that corresponds to a resonance frequency according to position of the first conductive plate, a first cursor link mechanism for moving the first conductive plate according to the position of the first cursor along a length direction of the first coil substrate, a memory part for storing a first sheet size data, and a control part which recognizes magnitude of the first output value of the sensor part and, based on the magnitude of the first output value that is recognized and the first sheet size data, recognizes size of the sheet that is set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
