PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device performing folding twice, which improves the folding quality of a folded sheet by changing the position of the second folding on the basis of the length of the first folding.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device comprises: a first transportation member pair 4; a second transportation member pair 5; a third transportation member pair 6, such as a first folding roller 13 and a second folding roller 14 folding a sheet by inversely rotating the second transportation member pair in the state where the sheet is held by the first transportation member pair and the second transportation member pair; a fourth transportation member pair such, as a second folding roller 14 and a third folding roller 15 further folding the sheet folded by the third transportation member pair on the downstream side of the third transportation member pair; load detection means which detects the transportation load of the third transportation member pair; and calculation means which calculates the folding length of the folded sheet on the basis of the transportation load detected by the load detection means. The sheet folding device changes the folding position of the sheet folded by the fourth transportation member pair on the basis of the calculated folding length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
