Abstract:
To provide a sheet loading device capable of detecting a jam caused by a sheet load misalignment and occurrence of a sheet load collapse.SOLUTION: A sheet stacking device PS comprises: loading stands such as an upper tray 201 and a shift tray 202 for loading a discharged sheet; and pressure elements 20 provided at a plurality of positions and for detecting the pressure or weight of the loaded sheet, and detects a sheet loading abnormality based on a detection result transmitted from pressure element group output parts 22 and 23 of the plurality of pressure elements 20. A CPU 31 of a control part 30 of the sheet loading device functions as: pressure distribution calculation means for calculating the pressure distribution in detection areas at a plurality of locations based on the detection result; gravity center position calculation means for calculating the center of gravity position of the sheet loaded in the detection area from the pressure distribution calculation result calculated by the pressure distribution calculation means; and relative position calculation means for calculating a relative position between the gravity center position calculation result in the detection area calculated by the gravity center position calculation means and an arbitrary position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
