Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift position determination device of an automatic transmission which can exactly determine a shift position even if any of the disconnection and a shortcircuit of a neutral start switch occurs.SOLUTION: In the case that an NSW signal is switched to an on-state from an off-state, the on-state is maintained, and an NSW theoretical exclusive signal is brought into an on-state via a switching operation of the NSW theoretical exclusive signal (YES determination at ST3), it is determined that a shortcircuit occurs in a signal line of an NSW signal, and it is determined that a shift operation position is not in an N-range nor in a P-range (ST4). In the case that the NSW theoretical exclusive signal is switched to the off-state from the on-state, and the off-state of the NSW signal continues for a prescribed time in the off-state (YES determination at ST7), it is determined that disconnection occurs in the signal line of the NSW signal, and it is determined that the shift operation position is in the N-range or in the P-range (ST8).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
