Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear shift operation device for a vehicle in which a boot can be reliably fixed to a shift lever or a shift knob without exposing a part of a boot ring to the outside.SOLUTION: A gear shift operation device for a vehicle comprises: a shift lever 2 having a shift knob 1 at an upper end part thereof and capable of operating a transmission of the vehicle; a boot 3 covering the shift lever 2; and a boot ring 4 mounted to the shift knob 1 for fixing the boot 3 to the shift knob 1. The boot 3 is folded inward from the outside while covering the boot ring 4 and has a mounting hole 3a at the portion folded inward. The boot ring 4 comprises: an insertion part 4a inserted into the mounting hole 3a; an upper hook part 4b for hooking an upper opening edge part of the mounting hole 3a; and a lower hook part 4c for hooking a lower opening edge part of the mounting hole 3a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
