Abstract:
A structure is provided wherein a fusible conductor (5) for short circuiting a short circuit portion (20) in a signal path is separated from a fusible conductor (6) of a fuse portion (30) in a current-running path of a heating portion (10), and, between the fusible conductors (5, 6) of the short circuit portion (20) and the fuse portion (30), a difference arises in the amount of heat for the heating effect caused by running current through the heating portion (10). This structure guarantees a relationship in which the melting action time for the fusible conductor (5) of the short circuit portion (20) is always quicker than the blow out action time for the fusible conductor of the fuse portion (30), thereby ensuring a stable short circuiting action for a short circuit element (100). Provided in this manner is a short circuit element whereby reliable short circuiting action and stabilization of conduction resistance after short circuiting are achieved, allowing a bypass path to be formed with certainty; also provided is a compensation circuit using this short circuit element.
