PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain metallic silver having a high chlorine content from silver chloride, and also, to refine silver at a low cost by repeatedly utilizing thiosulfate.SOLUTION: Provided is a method where silver chloride is dissolved in a sodium thiosulfate solution, and is reduced with aldehyde to recover silver.
