Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for multilaterally and integrally diagnosing a skin condition.SOLUTION: A skin diagnosis apparatus 1 according to one embodiment includes: an optical unit 2 including an optical system that employs an OCT; an optical mechanism 4 for causing light from the optical unit 2 to be guided to and scanned along the skin S; a load device 5 for imparting deformation energy to the skin S; a control arithmetic unit 6 which controls driving of the load device 5 and the optical mechanism 4, processes an optical interference signal output from the optical unit 2 in accordance with the driving of the load device and the optical mechanism, in order to compute a tomographic distribution of a predetermined state value relating to the skin S, and computes an evaluation value of the skin S on the basis of the tomographic distribution; and a display device 74 which displays the evaluation value of the skin S. The control arithmetic unit 6 computes, as the state value, a mechanical property and a blood flow state of the skin S respectively, and computes the evaluation value by associating the mechanical property with the blood flow state at a tomographic position in the skin S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
