Abstract:
To provide a socks capable of autonomously optimizing an arch structure of the sole and capable of improving or preventing a flat foot, a floating finger, or a disease of the foot accompanying them, through the physiological action of unconscious muscle contraction due to a somatic reflection caused by a fine stimulation to a sensory receptor (mechanoreceptor) in the skin of a human body.SOLUTION: A sock has: either a first belt-like stimulating body 1 consisting of a thin belt-like elastic body abutting at least on regions of the metatarsophalangeal joints of the third to fifth toes or a third belt-like stimulating body consisting of a thin belt-like elastic body abutting on regions of the metatarsophalangeal joints of the first and second toes on either an inner surface or an outer surface of the planta pedis; a second belt-like stimulating body 2 consisting of a thin belt-like elastic body abutting on a region from an interdigit part between the metatarsophalangeal joints of the second and third toes to the medial tarsal globule along a space between the second and third metatarsal bones; and the fourth belt-like stimulating bodies 4a and 4b consisting of a pair of thin belt-like elastic bodies of a substantially chevron shape abutting a region of the anterior part of the calcaneus of the planta pedis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
