Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which has improved the problem in which in a conventional ultrasonic device, desirable image quality cannot often be obtained due to some factors including spatial resolution and difference in tissue.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic imaging technology using spread spectrum, coherent, a frequency coding waveform, and/or a phase encoding waveform is disclosed. A method characterizing biological substance from an acoustic signal includes: composing individual orthogonal coding waveforms,generating a composite waveform to transmit to an object biological substance, and including one or both of a frequency coding waveform or a phase encoding waveform; transmitting a composite acoustic waveform to the object biological substance and receiving a response acoustic waveform which corresponds to at least some of transmitted acoustic waveforms configuring the composite acoustic waveform and is returned from at least a part of the object biological substance; and processing the received response acoustic waveform and generating at least a part of range Doppler data of the object biological substance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
