Abstract:
To provide a technique that can appropriately control utterance.SOLUTION: An utterance control device 100 comprises: a person determination unit 136 that executes determination of a person from images obtained by picking up images of a predetermined imaging area; a face determination unit 144 that executes determination of a face portion of the person from the images; and an operation unit 122 that alternately uses a result of determination of the person made by the person determination unit 136 and a result of determination of the face portion made by the face determination unit 144, and causes an output device 126 to output an utterance voice at a timing when it determines that the distance to the person obtained from any one of the results of determination is within a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
