Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control device and method capable of accurately synchronizing the travel speeds of two clip chains, and further improving the quality of a product film by arranging the travel positions of the right and left clips which travel by the clip chains.SOLUTION: Reference positions are each provided on sprockets supporting two clip chains. A pulse number output from a pulse generator provided in each of two motors which make the clip chains travel is counted so as to obtain a count value corresponding to the rotation angle of the sprocket for every clip chain. A controller resets a count value corresponding upon detecting the reference position, and controls the rotation speeds of the two motors so as to retain a difference in the two count values by a pulse number equivalent to prescribed natural number times determined by the tooth number of the sprocket.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
