Abstract:
To stably and reliably fix an upper member and a lower member by preventing detachment and rotation of the upper member and the lower member with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A split type piston 1 is split into an upper member 8 and a lower member 9. The upper member 8 has: an apex part 11 on which a crown face 17 is formed; a pair of pin boss parts 13 which project downward from the apex part 11 and on which a piston pin hole 22 is formed; and plural fixing parts 14 which are positioned on both sides of each pin boss part 13 and on which a recess part 23 is formed. The lower member 9 has a cylindrical part 31 on which an oil ring groove 39 is formed below an upper edge of the piston pin hole 22, and a skirt part 32 which is positioned at a lower part of the cylindrical part 31 and on which plural thin parts 45 are formed. While each fixing part 14 is inserted in the skirt part 32, each thin part 45 of the skirt part 32 is caulked to the recess part 23 of each fixing part 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
