Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilization method that enables a support post to be installed stably with a short pile part, without assuming a pile length to be infinite.SOLUTION: A length of a pile part (a pile length) is set tentatively, at the same time assuming a plurality of pile elements of an appropriate length obtained by dividing the pile part at any location. Reactive force exerted on each pile element from a buried ground, caused by displacement of each pile element, is calculated based on deflection behavior defined by shear force, bending moment, deflection angle and displacement of the pile part calculated from a horizontal load exerted on a support post. Deflection behavior of each pile element that reflects the reactive force is derived, and the deflection behavior is calculated sequential from a pile head toward a pile tip, reflecting transmission behavior while maintaining a boundary condition between the adjacent pile elements. Final deflection angle and displacement are derived for the pile head, based on the results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
