Abstract:
To provide a steel pipe pile which can secure high enough joint strength of rotation torque between a shaft steel pipe 2 and a tip member 4 and which can make a tip member effectively function as an enlarged bottom portion without making a lower side of a shaft steel pipe an enlarged bottom side steel pipe with a large diameter.SOLUTION: In a steel pipe pile for a rotating press-in method, a tip member 4 which has an end face plate 3 exhibiting excavation propulsion force by rotation and which has an excavation blade on a lower face of the end face plate is fixed to a tip of a shaft steel pipe 2. The tip member has a short pedestal steel pipe 5 which is weld-fixed by fillet welding with a groove for an outer peripheral surface and by fillet welding for an inner peripheral surface on an upper face of the end face plate. A lower end portion of the shaft steel pipe is weld-fixed to the pedestal steel pipe of the tip member. An outer diameter D1 of the pedestal steel pipe 5 is larger than an outer diameter D of the shaft steel pipe 2 and an inner diameter d1 of the pedestal steel pipe 5 is smaller than an inner diameter d of the shaft steel pipe. A height H of the pedestal steel pipe is 90% or less of the inner diameter of the pedestal steel pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
