Abstract:
In the present invention, an electric power steering device (100) comprises: a first urging mechanism (60); and a second urging mechanism (70). The first urging mechanism (60) includes a first yoke (61) that abuts against a rack shaft (12) and is movable within a first accommodation section (17d) following the movement of the rack shaft (12). The second urging mechanism (70) includes a second yoke (71) that abuts against the rack shaft (12) and is movable within a second accommodating section (17e) following the movement of the rack shaft (12). Movement of the first yoke (61) and the second yoke (71) is restricted by the rack housing (17) as the amount of movement of the rack shaft (12), which steers wheels (2), increases, making it impossible to follow the rack shaft (12). The timings at which the first yoke (61) and the second yoke (71) start to slide on the rack shaft (12) differ from each other.
