Abstract:
To provide a steering device that can suppress a decrease in size of data for estimating a temperature of a motor and estimate the motor temperature in a wide range.SOLUTION: A temperature coefficient calculated from an ECU temperature is used to acquire an IG off time, and the IF off time is used to acquire a motor temperature decrease. The relationship between the temperature coefficient and the IG off time is such that the smaller the temperature coefficient is, the greater the IG off time and that the amount of change of the IG off time to a certain amount of change of the temperature coefficient increases as the temperature coefficient decreases. The relationship between the IG off time and the motor temperature decrease is such that the amount of change of the motor temperature decrease to a certain amount of change of the IG off time decreases as the IG off time increases. The IG off time corresponding to a temperature coefficient of a predetermined value A or higher is quantized by a small quantization unit, and the IG off time corresponding to a temperature coefficient below the predetermined value A is quantized by a large quantization unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
