Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both two kinds of clockwise and anticlockwise meters with high accuracy by one kind of stepping motor.SOLUTION: A stepping motor according to an embodiment comprises: a stopper; a rotor that has a contact part contacting with the stopper; and a plurality of coils that form an excitation vector for rotating the rotor. The stopper has: a first stopper part contacting with the contact part when the rotor rotates in a first rotational direction; and a second stopper part contacting with the contact part when the rotor rotates in a second rotational direction. In an initialization period, a first excitation vector formed by the coils when or after the contact part rotated in the first rotational direction is contacted with the first stopper part, and the second excitation vector formed by the coils when or after the contact part rotated in the second rotational direction is contacted with the second stopper part, are located between a first stopper part excitation vector that brings the contact part into contact with the first stopper part and a second stopper part excitation vector that brings the contact part into contact with the second stopper part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
