Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator enabled by a simple structure to blend and agitate a liquid homogeneously.SOLUTION: An agitator comprises rotary agitation means 2 and 3 for establishing such a circulation flow in a liquid reserved in an agitation vessel 1 having a cylindrical side wall as is composed of an upward flow along the side wall of an agitation vessel 1 and a downward flow flowing down in the vicinity of the center of the agitation vessel 1, and baffles 5a and 5b for causing a shearing force to act on the circulation flow are vertically arranged in the agitation vessel 1 at positions apart from the side wall of the agitation vessel 1.
